Location: La Jolla, CA


TheKey is urgently hiring for experienced caregivers to work at an upscale facility in La Jolla. 
Available shifts: daytime, 4 to 12 hour shifts. 

Alternating weekends or at least a minimum of 1 weekend day per month.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do: 

You will have the ultimate responsibility to help implement customized care plans that encompass solutions to nurture the whole person in mind, body and spirit. You will be providing impeccable care to clients by assisting in scheduled activities as well as overall care management. You will treat your clients like family, going above and beyond to enhance their quality of life.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Delivering exceptional care to dedicated clients in their homes
  • Assisting in the execution of personalized weekly schedules and care plans 
  • Completing daily tasks in a safe and professional manner (Activities of Daily Living)
  • Offering personal companionship and maintaining active engagement with each client by providing ongoing social and emotional support
  • Assisting with personal care activities to include personal hygiene, mobility assistance, incontinence care, light housekeeping, feeding and meal preparation
  • Prioritzing order, safety and client satisifaction at all times
  • Providing transportation to and from appointments as needed
  • Performing administrative duties such as documenting task completion and reporting changes in the client's physical condition, mental capacity or behavior

Required Skills, Education and Certifications:

  • At least one year of caregiving experience
  • Professional and presents well
  • Driver with a valid driver's license, vehicle, up to date car insurance and car registration
  • HCA/PER ID registration preferred but not required to apply (we can help you obtain)
  • Alzheimer's or dementia experience is a plus
  • Empathy, compassion and kindness is a MUST
  • Ability to use sound judgement and remain calm in a variety of situations
  • Must be reliable, dependable and on-time
  • Basic computer skills as well as overall technical savviness 
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Can pass a background check and provide references
  • TB test within 90 days of hire 
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation to get to and from work
