Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

 

A private client in (South East, Calgary) is seeking a dedicated caregiver to provide high-quality support and companionship. The ideal candidate is dependable, kind, and comfortable in a home with pets, with an added interest in sports—especially American football.
Ideal candidate must also drive and own a vehicle

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Establish open communication with seniors and their families
  • Assist clients with errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, transportation, ambulation, transfers
  • Companionship and friendship for seniors and loved ones

Required Skills, Education, and Certifications:

  • A passion for the job and helping others
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid insurance
  • Ability to pass a background check and reference check
  • A hunger to learn how to best care for your clients

Preferred Skills, Education, and Certifications:

  • Previous experience as a Companion /Assistant, or similar position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to reliably travel to client homes and office location(s)
  • Ability to safely perform client transfers with weight-bearing requirements, contingent upon client condition and needs
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday
