Experienced Caregiver – Behavioral Health, Dementia Support (San Juan Island) 24/7

Special Assignment – San Juan Island

We are currently hiring 4 caregivers for a 24/7 assignment on San Juan Island. We are looking for caregivers with experience supporting individuals with mental and behavioral health needs, including dementia, who are comfortable managing challenging behaviors, redirecting, and de-escalating situations as needed.

Coverage Needed:
• 24/7 care via two 12-hour shifts, or
• Two live-in caregivers with two 8-hour night shift caregivers

Compensation:
• $26.00/hour
• Live-in: $400/day

Travel Note:
This assignment is located on San Juan Island. Travel will involve a ferry and driving, and caregivers should be comfortable with remote-location assignments.

As a Caregiver for TheKey, you’ll assist your clients 1:1 with the following activities: 

• Personal care: dressing, bathing, grooming and assisting with meals
• Light housekeeping: basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing
• Transportation: Driving clients to appointments, running errands, and grocery shopping
• Companionship: games, puzzles or other activities that provide social and emotional support

At TheKey, we pride ourselves on hiring compassionate caregivers who meet the following eligibility requirements: 

• Active CNA or HCA license required
• At least 6 months of caregiving experience required 
• Experience supporting individuals with mental and behavioral health needs, including dementia, required 
• At least 18 years of age
• Basic computer skills
• Driver for clients (with vehicle, car insurance and registration) preferred but NOT required.
